The Accidents: the angels of wrath - back with a bang!
The swedish four-man army are still chewing strings and blasting skins like there is no tomorrow. "Summer Of Dreams" is the new monster-album, which spans from licks of poisoned love and tunes of betrayal to the straight up decadence and real deal drinking the band are so well known for.
Here's 12 heart-stabbing new songs. A velveteen wall of sound whose hooligan choirs, bonehard delivery and pure attitude will take you on a ride to explore the lost tunes and forgotten guidelines of punkrock. Feel the lack of afterthought as The Accidents angels of wrath-army once again completely blow you away! Out October the 29th. |

the new album
After a whole lot of blood, sweat and beers over the last 4 or so weeks in the studio, we rounded it all off with a trip to Tailor Maid late last week to get it mastered, and voila! - one brand new Accidents full length album was born.
Once again we chose Mieszko & Färm's old Soundlab Studio's here in Örebro, (which is now actually Millencolin's rehearsal studio.. but they're nice guys and let us use it in exchange for a few games + shoe hire at the local bowling alley, hehe, with Mr. Dango from Truckfighters in control of the knob turning yet again.
These 12 symphonies of sickness will be released sometime in October '07 by Burning Heart / Epitaph Europe. Distribution outside of Europe is still up in the air, so we don't know yet. |

Something old, something new, something borrowed and Sport's Fishermen.
Ok. As usual we like to keep things up to date over here, so after being home from the Asta Kask tour for almost 4 weeks now, we'd finally like to get around to letting everyone know that the tour went great, and a huge cheers to Asta & crew for being the friendly characters you all are and making the tour as enjoyable as it was!
In other Accidents news we'll be doing a few shows & festivals over the summer, (btw, we just have to say a big thanks to the Turbojugend in Karlstad for inviting us up to play at their 'jugend bash a few weeks ago - we had a fucking great time and you guys really looked after us, super nice!) but these coming months we'll mainly be focusing our time on writing/rehearsing new songs for the follow up to Poison Chalice, as the studio is booked and ready!! Album title & release date are still not confirmed yet, but we're hoping to have it out before the end of 2007.
Ric Rebel Jennings in Omega's Snuff Music Studio's.
Mr.Ric Rebel Jennings is putting the final touches on his solo project at Omega's Snuff Music studio's... The ol' vocal chords have been dusted off and given a thorough cleaning, as well as taking care of all the other instruments.. but if you're expecting songs in the same vein as older projects Ric's been involved in such as Genocide Superstars perhaps, then I'm telling you now to take off that studded crust jeans jacket and slip into something a little more. Smooth!

In a blast from the past, the latest issue of Swedish skateboarding mag Giftorm has an article on a legendary, but long gone skate spot in our home town of Örebro. D.Vacuum was asked to share a few memories about what it was like to grow up skating there, along with a few more of the older crew including Nikola & Erik from Millencolin.

Ge Fan I Våra Vatten.
The Accidents former Big Mouth guitarist turned Big Mouth manager, Kimmo "Kid Kigge Kreole" Kirvesmäki along with Erik from Millencolin, have taken the environmental bull by the horns (...or should I say "fish by the gills", hohoho!) and rounded up their like minded fishing enthusiast rock n roll buddies, along with the SportFishing Association, for a compilation CD entiteled "Ge Fan I Våra Vatten"(loosely translated "Leave Our Water The Hell Alone")

The main aim of the project is that all the surplus revenue from the CD's sold will be put into educating about & replenishing the almost non-existent Pike population along Sweden's east coast bay's, as well as aiming to buy out the existing fishing licences close to the mouth's of the bay's where trawlfishing is netting Salmon into dangerously unhealthy low numbers.
Along with The Accidents, the bands that have agreed to help include : The Soundtrack Of Our Lives * Millencolin * Moneybrother * Backyard Babies * Weeping Willows * The Hellacopters * Voice Of A Generation * Randy * Bitter Twins * Bombshell Rocks and The Hives.
Whether or not the whole environmental thing is your cup of tea, buying one these CD's sound a whole lot better than Sheryl Crow's idea of everyone rationing their toilet paper to one square per shit to wipe with, but whatever floats your boat I guess. |
